The original build quality is good. The inner lining is stretchy. The outer lining is stiff but ok. I ordered size 36. It is 3/4" shorter than my regular 35" belt. Good quality metal parts. The buckle is generally short. Belt. It's a bit annoying when filling up. I wear it and I like it. Assembly is fine.
