Review on πŸ’» Enhance Your Laptop Experience with Griffin GC16034 Elevator Stand by Josh Allred

Works but is ugly and cheap looking

Ergonomically speaking, a laptop stand is essential when using a laptop on a desk. I just don't like *that* laptop stand. Don't get me wrong - this is a perfectly working product and great value for money. Although not visible in the photo, there are small plastic snap-in stops to keep the laptop from sliding off the stand - not that that would actually happen. The soft material on the top of the stand is very grippy and holds my aluminum Macbook Pro perfectly in place. The bottom has space for small items like portable hard drives or KVM boxes, which is good for saving desk space that other stands don't have. I just don't like this product aesthetically. The clear plastic end caps and bottom lip are just tacky and don't match the aluminum look of the product (or Macbook Pro, the marketing materials say a kickstand should be used). It just looks weird on my desk. Also, the aluminum ends that go into the bottom lip don't fit snugly enough, so there can be some wobble when plugging the laptop in and out, which is really a concern if you have OCD. Budget, this is the perfect coaster. If you are conceited and have money to burn, there are much more attractive products on the market for more money.
