This is an exact replacement for my 2003 Escalade with rear air conditioning. Installation was easy as I also replaced the water pump and had plenty of clearance. This compressor comes without bolts or gaskets, so save your old bolts, don't skimp and reuse gaskets. Remove the passenger wheel well inner panel to gain access to the compressor. Top bots are basic and require a 15mm jack. Bottom left is tricky as you need to make a short 15mm bolt, set the lever at 11 o'clock and push down from the top. The bottom right bolt will also require a 15mm wrench, but you will need a long-handled ratchet wrench. You will see that there is a small side line where you just turn it very slowly. Hold on and it will come out. This compressor comes pre-filled with oil, so leave the grommet in place until the unit is fully installed and you are ready to connect the AC lines. I charged the system at the store and they said the system held a vacuum and charging went fine. AC Delco has not failed me so I hope for many years of good service.
