I recommend this item to anyone looking for a car mount! This works great for me! It has an adjustable clip that keeps it securely attached to the vent so it doesn't slip, bounce, sag, wobble, nothing! The collar didn't even budge and overcame potholes! The mount's round head is a nice rubberized magnet that's also adjustable, it can move 360 degrees in any direction and you can tighten it all the way to stay in one position, loosen it so it still moves firmly , or loosen it. complete, so it has a number of options. I put a metal plate between my Samsung phone and the thin silicone case I have on it and the magnetic mount head quickly and easily pulled my phone right up to it and held it in place while going over potholes, bumps, etc ... and it doesn't move! They give you a simple square metal plate to put between the case and phone that I used and they give you 2 self-adhesive metal plates (1 square and 1 round) if you want to stick them on the phone/case . I see all these reviews warning about magnets and credit cards. For those who doubt the safety of the magnet etc. The plates that stick to your phone ARE NOT MAGNETS, just METAL PLATES, so they won't damage your credit cards if you have your phone in your purse/next to your wallet etc etc. The only magnet is the actual head of the car mount, so you don't want to have phone cases with credit cards in them and tape them to the mount, otherwise that's obviously nothing to worry about! I covered the vent to prevent the heat from blowing onto my phone so that's not a problem. Overall the quality of the product is excellent, in my opinion this is the best mount I have ever had. For less than 10€ I am very satisfied with this product! UPDATE: This lasted 3 years before the clip attached to the vent finally broke which I couldn't ask for less than $10 for more than 3 years! I ordered a new one, exactly the same model, and when I received it it turned out to be defective. The clamping ring just kept turning and wouldn't stay in place. I contacted the seller and he sent me a replacement within a few days with no problem or additional inconvenience! I received the new one with no problems and it works just as well as my original! Highly recommended!
