Good but not great portable speakers and docking stations

First thing I want to say is that I was surprised at how difficult it is to find a decent bluetooth wireless radio these days. You'd think companies like Sony, Panasonic, etc would make a decent portable speaker with a handle to take to the beach, garden, etc. There are several options to choose from, but none of them are that good. . And the good ones don't have FM radio (why?). Anyway, I pulled the trigger because it had everything I was looking for: - Portable, with a carrying handle - FM radio - Latest Bluetooth technology (5.0) - Remote control - Aux adapter - Rechargeable - Subwoofer design Is it really too much too do questions? These appear to be standard features for portable audio devices, but you'd be surprised to see that many of these basic functions are missing. After receiving the device, I tested it. Here are the pros and cons: Pros - The sound is big for its size - It's very light for the power (30W) - All the plugs are on the top for easy access when they're off (and the lights themselves are' not distracting like other models I've seen ) - Comes with USB charging cable, optional adapter and remote control. Disadvantages - the sound is always somewhat distorted at high volume. (it's not as crisp as more expensive systems) - The speakers don't have a protective case. If you're not careful (and have small children) there is a chance someone could poke a hole in the speaker cones. The radio tuner is pretty annoying. There's no dial, so it's a bit tricky to find the station. The search function took me a while to figure out how to stop the search. Even after reading the instructions, I had to find a "trick" to stop looking for it. And switching from station to station is unnecessarily tiring – the FM antenna is weak. I bought this model specifically for the FM radio function and the weak antenna is a bit disappointing. And that's not my location as I have other radios at home that pick up stations with no problem. Overall it's 3 stars from me. In terms of features I would give it a 5 but due to the poor performance of some features I have to deduct a few stars. I hope the manufacturer will read this and try to understand what is important. I mean, it's not a high-tech system, but $70 ain't a dime either. The manufacturer should focus on the most important things for the next version: - Fix the distortion problem - Protect the speaker cones somehow - Add a stronger antenna - Fix the FM radio station search and navigation so it's not that tedious In the end I'll leave myself , because I like the combination of FM radio and Bluetooth and the portability.
