I was concerned that I might not have been given a coarse enough file or that a fine file would work on its own. I'm glad I bought both the coarse and fine because the coarse cuts through the product while the fine helps smooth it out and remove product residue. Both cut right through the product, but the rough one helped me make it a little quicker. I was able to both run at minimal speed on my efil and quickly remove gel polish from acrylic nails. Because it's quick, my nails didn't get hot at all. I'm new to this so I'm glad I have some security; they are hot! They are easy to clean afterwards. I am very happy with my purchase.
