I just received this monitor so I can update it later with more details but here are my impressions from unboxing and initial setup: The monitor stand is a design disaster. It uses a grommet/slot twist lock to attach the stand to the base. It also has a swivel foot function. The problem, as you can imagine, is that when you rotate the monitor, you're never sure if the monitor is actually rotating or if you're unlocking the base, since they're essentially the same mechanism. So far I've dropped my monitor twice on a table (no visible damage luckily) and now basically don't rotate it on the stand at all, just adjusting the base. There's also the uncertainty of never knowing if you've fully secured the stand to the base, as the swivel feature allows for plenty of play. The base itself is an oddly textured, sloping plastic that invites you to place items on it (reading glasses, phones, etc.), but then gets frustrated when whatever is placed on it just slides off due to the sloping. Honestly, just get a VESA mount, the stand sucks. The color looks good and the viewing angle is incredibly wide, as is typical for an IPS monitor. There are no noticeable dead pixels and the overall backlight looks good - with almost no real backlight issues. Dark black, bright white. It has numerous connectivity options, supports analog D-Sub VGA, DVI, DP and HDMI - it works with both old and new systems. A mid-range 2K monitor, but if that's the form factor you're after then this is fine.
