The idea of this and the video convinced me to buy both for my wife and myself. But when I tried to use them, I found that they weren't quite as advertised. First, if you have an external case on your 15-16-inch MacBook Pro, you run the risk of the pressure point being too wide for your hands to adequately grip the laptop's sides. , which allows the laptop to "sag" to one side, which in turn twists the edge of the stand and tips the entire assembly over. But even with thinner cases (as stated in the description, this stand supports) a clear understanding of the laptop, as I expected from the video. I suspect they will work better with the 13" MBP and 11" MacBook/Air models, but without testing them I can't be sure. I think there is an underlying physics at work here that makes heavier laptops less suitable for use with these stands.
