All nests are female. A male-to-male coaxial cable is required to connect to the tuner

Pay attention to the title of this review. Luckily I had a spare male-to-male coaxial cable. If not, place the 2nd order. The above statement is all you need to know as the device works differently. How well this works depends on where you live and the quality of your antennas. The nice thing is that this is a bi-directional signal, you can use either 2 antennas -> 1 TV or 1 antenna -> 2 TVs. In theory, you could also send a cable signal to 2 TVs; I haven't tried it as I don't need it. Why I bought it: I really want to "cut the cable" for financial reasons. Reception is terrible where I live, especially in my living room. One of my neighbors was using 2 antennas on a similar device so I decided to give it a try. With my TV, built-in tuner and 1 antenna, I can't get any channels in the living room. When I was 2 I got 4. With a higher quality external tuner than my TV, I got 8; even though it was 4 weeks. and of course all 8 were either local PBS or local trade channels. It really made a difference in my bedroom where reception is better. I don't have a channel counter because many of the channels were weak and required antenna tuning, but almost all available channels were on. Unfortunately, I almost never watch TV in the bedroom. I need to find a way to get local channels and the Fire TV app.
