Love Garmin Venu 2S! Because of the touchscreen and AMOLED screen, I feel like this is the best of both worlds from Apple and Garmin. Of course it doesn't make phone calls or answer text messages like the Apple Watch, and it doesn't measure Garmin Forerunner recovery time, it notifies me of a call and I can measure my recovery with Body Battery. I love the small size and very light! I had a Nike Apple Watch Series 4, but the battery wouldn't last a full GPS marathon. Then I bought a Garmin Forerunner 645 which recorded the entire marathon and went back to 61%. Liked the Garmin board and the workout metrics. Back then, the 645's screen was easily visible in direct sunlight. And here is the Garmin Venu 2S. The Garmin 645 was lighter than the Apple Watch, but the Venu 2S is even lighter than the Garmin 645. It took a while for all notifications to work. But now I get all text messages, social media content, etc., and it's easy to turn on Do Not Disturb when needed. In direct sunlight, the Venu 2S screen is quite sharp. The body's battery function seems to be up. He seems to know how I recharge my batteries after a workout at the gym. But I have to keep checking it. I had never used sleep tracking before the Venu 2S and was amazed to see the sleep metrics. When I received this watch I thought maybe I should have grabbed the Garmin Forerunner 745 for the training performance. I missed the recovery time that the Garmin 645 had (Garmin tells you how many hours it takes you to recover from the activity). It takes a few more clicks to find VO2 Max, Lactate Threshold, and Fitness Age. But it's normal. As long as these features are available, I'm fine. I have yet to try it on a hike to test altitude, but for now I'm looking forward to using it in training for future half marathons and full marathons. I also downloaded songs from Spotify and connected to Aeropex via Aftershokz and the sound quality was great! So far I think I need to charge about every 5 days depending on activity. A full charge takes about a couple of hours. Very happy with my new toy! (Oh, there is no sleep data in the second photo because I had to charge before a long run.)
