Review on Gorilla Playsets 04 0008 G Toddler Capacity by Virgilio Feliciano

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Swing good but narrow

My son is almost 3 and has just outgrown 3T clothing, always in his 98th-99th. Percentile of growth charts. This seat is wide enough for him and can be a hassle to get in and out of (at least for me - my husband has less trouble). It won't suit him next year but I think he can switch to a standard swing. They're probably big enough for toddlers and toddlers, but they're smaller than the commercial swings you see at parks. We have a gorilla playset (I think Outing II; for reference, I'm 5ft 5" and the swing beam is low enough that I can touch it with my legs apart) and the chains on the swing are very long. The husband doubled the slack of the flexible hook several times to keep it from hanging loose. This is good news if you have a higher set, but the coverage is low enough to work with smaller sets as well. We didn't have it. long, but it has rained several times and there is no sign of rust.

Pros
  • Meets and/or exceeds ASTM safety standards for personal use only
Cons
  • Good but not great
