Review on Headphones AKG K 52, black by Stanislaw Szczesny ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

I needed it primarily for capturing and arranging vocals and acoustic instruments, so that's why I got it. Although there is little else out there to compare these headphones to, the experience of buying them has been very excellent. For my purposes, none of the drawbacks mentioned above are an issue. I paid $2430 for it, so consider it a gift at this point. Listed below are some advantages: Portable and cozy. The ear is supported by generously sized cushions. You can sit in them happily for hours on end. Over time, the automatically adjusting rim became second nature. I'm pleased with the results of my splurging on a high-priced headset (duh). The tape is crystal clear and easy to hear every nuance. I have never bothered to measure the frequency response, but I have never found the need to adjust the equalizer, so it must be rather flat. The headphones are almost completely inaudible to the condenser microphone, so you can use them for monitoring. The wire appears to be effectively insulated despite being flexible and quite thick. The negatives are that, at least in my experience, outside noise is barely diminished. Anything going on in the environment can be heard by you. The ear cushions appear to be made of a substance that doesn't last very long. They will serve their purpose, but I expect their aesthetic appeal to deteriorate over time. The heat causes the ears to sweat just like any other pair of headphones would.
