Easy install works great highly recommend

We bought this for our two Cocker Spaniels and it works great. It was installed in a few weeks and they use it regularly. We installed it in a metal exterior door with a window. We should have gotten a large size so the top would cover part of the window, but we still don't usually open a window in this door. The installation instructions are small, but we are experienced people and there were no problems installing it. I took the door off, marked the measurements, drilled holes in the four corners and used a jigsaw with a good metal blade to cut through the door. I had to cut both sides. A hole was present, the block installed very quickly and easily. We had an outlet right next to the door, so we used the AC plug that came with the unit. I really like that the door allows plugging in from both sides. Dog collars are small and don't seem to bother our dogs at all. The device comes with a collar and we also bought a second one from Revain. We have a small problem: if the collar rotates at all, the sensor will not match and the door may not open when the dog approaches it. We are now playing with the sensor settings to see if there is an effect. The dog is embarrassed when the door doesn't open, but fortunately as there are two of us and we are together most of the time. Another comes or comes back outside and opens the door. The device has no setting for how long the door should remain open during passage. As we have two dogs that would be great. I'm not deducting a single star for that, because we still really like how it works. We haven't figured out how long the collar's batteries will last. These are specialty batteries and they don't come cheap, but we understand why. to keep the sensor small. We definitely recommend this device. We had a hard time deciding what size to buy. Our dogs are quite small. One weighs just over 30 pounds, which was the max for the smaller device. We did some tests with cardboard and found that a larger pad worked best for our dogs, even though they are small. The size is great. You have enough space to walk through the door and it's not too big. Sometimes they try to get through it together :-). We did a lot of research about all the options available and what we reviewed and what we experienced. We are very confident that we made the right decision.
