This wine key/sommelier knife is professional quality and totally unnecessary for everyday/home use. I expect he can open 1000 bottles. Denser, younger, longer or synthetic corks can be difficult to pull and require above-average grip strength. This can also happen if you screw in the cork at an angle and the sharp point of the screw hits the inside of the bottle neck, which can also break off the glass bottle neck. The screw is a solid piece of steel. , much stronger than Le Coutale, taps or regular screws and secured with a very strong pin/spanner. The curved and serrated blade is ideal for cutting thicker foils. It is desirable that the blade of such an expensive wine key / sommelier knife can be sharpened, but this is not an obstacle. The latches and springs are very tight/stiff and will likely last a long time. the tool I have found so far and would highly recommend it for working in the industry. Easy to use under normal circumstances. Above average grip strength may be required. A gift, but not necessary for everyday use. The most durable wine key I've ever seen and a fair price for its durability.
