When my house was rewired I took it in stages and decided to install all the smart switches for lights and ceiling fans . I originally purchased version 1 of this product and was very happy with the results. When I finished the rest of the reconstruction, version 2 came out, so I bought a newer version. Any light that was recessed LED lights flickered. Not just a slight flicker, it was like strobe lights that got worse the less they were dimmed. I took version 1 switch which worked fine and replaced it with version 2 just to see what happens. Low, and lo and behold, the flickering was gone and I was able to dim them all the way with no problem. I called customer service and they told me the led lights are not compatible without asking me what brand they are! I explained that the version 1 switch was working fine and that only the version 2 switches were causing the flickering. You'd think they would offer to send me version 1 switches, but no, instead they offered to swap out all the new bulbs. I asked again how can they be compatible with version 1 and not version 2? Besides that, without even asking what brand they were, they just told me they weren't compatible. I ended up returning these switches and replacing the entire house with another brand that worked great. The switches work well when they work. The ceiling fan switches work fine, but to keep everything on the same hub, app, etc., I strongly recommend trying a different brand.
