I was a bit nervous when I received this product with a (very unspecific) review but I went for it. I liked its looks and the fact that it comes with two buttons and two receivers. I've only had him for a few days and as far as my pup's intelligence goes, I think he'll pick it up pretty quickly. As for the actual product, so far so good. It has a ton of different sounds, some of which sound very familiar. They're basically like songs and play a little bit of ditties. The one I chose was the only one that plays 3-4 notes as I didn't want it to be long and I like it. Kind of reminds me of a game show. I had a lot of questions installing this so I've played around and will try to answer anything I can think of. There are 3 buttons on each receiver, a volume button and two arrows. Once you've done the settings, you can unplug it and plug it back in and the song will still install, you just have to reset the volume. Each receiver must be configured with each transponder (button). This means that each button can produce different tones both on the same receiver and on another receiver. I think this is important for anyone who wants to get creative. If you have more than one dog and want each to have their own tone to indicate what they want, for example. You can have two sounds per key. You just have to remember that once you've used the arrows to figure out what kind of sound you like, hold down the volume button for a few seconds until it rings, then press the big dog button, then it'll set it . I think the volume range is great. I have a one story house, not very big, and have a receiver on the back door at the lowest or second lowest volume. You can hear clearly from one side of the house, but not from the other. I have a second receiver on the other side of the house in the bedroom on the lowest setting to ensure we can hear without making it too loud in one room. The loudest setting is probably heard in a two story house, although I have no proof of that. Love the rainbow lights that glow when pressed and the overall aesthetic of this set. Press with your nose or paw. My cat got curious when she saw it on the wall and was able to turn up the volume with her paw. This set has velcro to attach them to the wall but I honestly threw them away and used the Command velcros to give me more control. without the risk of destroying my walls. I didn't want to risk it. Overall I am satisfied with this product so far. My 6 month old puppy is still learning but I think it will be great with time. My 7.5 year old son is not interested but he knows how to tell us when to leave. We hope this makes potty training a little easier by giving our pup a clear means of communicating when he needs to go.
