Inaccurate description. Says it hold a canvas up to 42 inches. This painting is 36x36 and as you can see does not come close to fitting. It will be lovely for smaller canvases. The wood has a nice smooth finish and seems sturdy *enough*.The largest canvas it will hold is 37 inches IF it is a thin frame ( 1/2 inch). Although if the canvas did fit flush it seems like there is a piece of wood that would misshape the canvas in the middle.Perfect for canvases sized no bigger than 27 ".I'm keeping it because it serves my needs with limited space living out of my car and I can't find anything else that is not too large to be unmanageable without a residence.
