With the tailgate up the rear seats cannot be used. You must lower the tailgate to use it. And the tailgate isn't latched, meaning it'll flap around if you don't have anything to hold on to when using the rear seats. It offers a lot of extra space and is made of very good, thick steel. But the inability to use the seats with the tailgate up is a handicap for me. UPDATE: However, I will say that if you don't have extra rear seats like 2 or 3 seaters, this is the perfect product for you. It folds very well and is made of thick steel. I contacted Kemimoto customer service and they are very nice and helpful and they listened to my product design ideas to make it even better. Also, the heavy-duty steel adds a lot of weight to keep the tailgate from wobbling too much, especially when carrying a heavy load.
