I knew from a number of helpful reviewers here that this case was not going to be as protective of my top-of-the-line iPhone 12 Pro Max as I was hoping for. The corner bumpers were not big enough to keep the screen as protected as I wanted, and would not protect the camera lenses much at all. However, I did know that I adored the design; my heart was set on this one! I decided to see what I could do to mod it up a bit.I added the following items to my Custom iPhone Protection Array lol. There are lots of other similar items that probably would work fine. I can personally vouch for these in particular:1. A screen protector. It's great, I don't even know it's there. Came in a pack of three. I'm still on my first one. - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DG7JN5C2. A lens protector. Very comforting to know that fancy camera is safe! Also came in a three-pack, also still in great shape. - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LVPGG883. A magnetic charging ring. I really wanted to have a magnetic charger in my car. The case does prevent charging with MagSafe. I tried this ring inside the case, didn't connect well enough to charge. Stuck to the outside, the ring charges the phone perfectly. The magnetic ring does stick out a few millimeters, but so does the camera. I don't notice it anymore. Paired with an Apple MagSafe charger in an after-market holder stuck to my dash, it works excellent. I love being able to grab my phone off the dash holder without futzing with wires. I've had this assembly now for three months. No problems.A final note. I am careful of my phone. It cost a small fortune and I do take care not to damage it. If you are hard on phones or have little kids tossing your phone about, this might not be tough enough. For myself, this is a decent amount of protection while not bulking up the camera. I am still able to slip it in a pocket.I hope that's helpful info for anyone who falls in love with this case like I did! Good luck ;)(p.s.
