At first I didn't want a folding stool because I was afraid it would look cheap and not be strong enough to support our average weight. (155 pounds, 185 pounds). I also didn't want to pay a large amount for a product that was rated one star because it was damaged during shipping or missing screws etc. Based on the reviews I bought a 30 inch ottoman and we love it! We didn't crush it while sitting on it, it looks very nice and literally didn't have to build anything. I'm really really happy with this product and we will be buying the same 45" to store our 3 year old's toys in our dining room. I think a really nice added benefit is that they literally fold up when we move them or want to put in a closet.
