Model One antenna loosens when adjusted

Firstly, I didn't get the installer tool - oops, I found it. Second, if I align the antenna, the connection to the port will be weakened. I ended up tightening it pretty tight, but the whole connector (like a connector and antenna twister is my nomenclature) rotates when I twist the antenna. My radio is in the bathroom, opposite the mirror: the radio, with the antenna fully extended, if I move the antenna to the left the connection seems normal/tight - the mirror reflects no movement. If I go to the right the connection moves - it's the same direction to detach/remove the antenna. Eventually, from left to right, the right direction sags a bit (e.g. it may not be 1 o'clock, but 2 o'clock is fine). If I move the radio away from the wall to move the antenna back and forth, I get the same result: as long as I move counter-clockwise, the connection doesn't weaken. I have this type of antenna on a Crosley radio that came with it and fitted, but I'm guessing it's detachable because the connector is the same. The rotating part of this antenna is the only part of the connector that moves in any direction. So I'm thinking that the rotating part of this antenna is somehow stuck in the contact part of the connector and I don't want to try to fix that. I can return this item or not. It helped a little, but it seems a little cheap.
