The most valuable review worth reading is the first from Jake. For dog breeders and small dog trainers this is a great grip when used correctly BUT the manufacturer really needs to make angle brackets so the dog doesn't deform the shape. This is not a substitute for "babysitting" or training your pet. You have to prove that to the puppy so that the dog is safe. I bought this knowing I would use the cross brace suggested in the first review. If you don't want this, most puppies and small dogs will try to get out and distort the shape. Don't buy it without reading the first review. The manufacturer's instructions could have been better illustrated to make assembly easier. It's roomy enough for a 5-12lb dog, if your dog is overweight I don't recommend it unless he's low on strength. It has ample space for toiletries, meals and meals, and a bed. Stays cleaner than practice wire grips. I would not recommend this for outdoor use without your pet's supervision. If you buy an optional full mesh upper like I did, be aware that it is Velcro only and is not secure in any way. You'll most likely need to secure that handle anyway. Your dog may feel more secure wearing a top, but it's not the best way to keep your dog engaged. Read this first review before you buy. If you can't do this, find something else for your pet. This is a good economical pen, but only if you're making a mount.
