I've tried all the wrapping paper from this set, it doesn't shine through, it's nice. There is a cutting net on the back, it is convenient. It's blue and wintry, I like it. While I'm terrible at gift wrapping and it's not industrial grade paper (which honestly isn't a negative reason then it gets hard to fold), I definitely accidentally tore the rough edges on some of the gifts. I think it's more that I suck and not a bad product. This was enough to wrap a box about 3 feet long, 2.5 feet high, and 2.5 feet wide. We had a tiny strip of the box sticking out, so we put a brown paper "patch" on it to hide it. But for the money it's a pretty decent deal.
