This is the first time I have changed the strap on my bike. I chose this brand based on the price and some reviews. Performance in the rain was a priority. The application went smoothly on the first wrap. I inserted a new film a few hours before my departure. When I got back to the bike, the ends of the finishing tape were curled up. I put pressure on it and it stays in place for a week. I noticed that the ride was smoother; as if I had new wheels. So I would say the cushioning is better than what I had before. It rained heavily on my first ride. Another review mentioned that the tape gets sticky when wet, but I don't think that's true. The good news is that I didn't find the grip to be slippery when wet.
