I used these lift rods on a folding basket I designed and built myself. I needed something that could support the weight of the door and wire clothes hamper if tipped over while loading or removing clothes for washing. They did a very good job for the purpose I needed them for. The only issue I had was that the screws that came with the mounts are very flimsy and easy to remove. I'm an experienced carpenter and even with pilot holes I had two screws. The screws were so soft that even with my screw extraction tools, the head just popped off instead of the screw coming out. I had to use vampliers to get the stripped screws out. I recommend this product, but given the soft screw heads, you might want to drill a shank rather than a pilot hole (or have a few extra screws on hand). ). For me they came in packs of 2 and I only needed 3 lift stands so I just used the screws from the extra stand but if you don't have extra ones get some extra screws before you start.
