The smell of the comb isn't as comforting as it says, but it's not a problem if you use beard oil anyway. Over time it retains the smell of the oils used. I recommend tea tree and lavender mixed with sandalwood and fir. This provides a clean and soothing scent as tea tree and lavender have natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. Sandalwood and fir give you the woody scent the manufacturer was looking for. It's a good comb though. The little red pouch it comes in is neither necessary nor practical.
