One of the things I did before ordering the D+H military style belt was to look at the description in the middle of the list. I wasn't sure how well a plastic clip would work on a belt, but I decided to give it a try. The listing described a clip-on buckle with a silver finish - it looked (to me at least) as if you lifted one end of the buckle to unbuckle the belt. I used to have belts like that. This belt is very different - even the sparse instructions that came with the belt were WRONG and instructed the user to depress part of the buckle to release the belt. The belt has two parts - the tongue on one end of the belt snaps into the hole on the other side. There is no buckle as such. And the "buckle" is BLACK, not chrome. The woven material seems very durable - I suspect if I were to add a hook to each end I could lift a lot of weight before this material fails, but that's still normal for a belt. I am disappointed to see the wrong listing and picture - at least the seller will provide the correct information. I'm not sure if it's worth the price, and while the plastic "buckle" seems pretty solid, I'm concerned that it will snap or break, or at least look less attractive after a short while than it does today . I took off one star because of the wrong description.
