Review on πŸ“· Black Visual Land V-Touch Pro 4 GB MP3 Player with Touchscreen & Built-In Camera by Cory Miles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Apple Fanbois and Gurls, Away!

I was looking for a pretty decent MP3 player to load music onto. Maybe a built in radio would be nice. Not wanting to fall into Apple's trap with their advertised and then overpriced junk (I didn't need an MP3 player that would upset me greatly if it broke ;) ), I checked out the players on Revain to assess my possible purchase of to rate. Most players were easy. 4GB, 8GB etc. but still the prices were pretty outrageous. Since I had a reputable side job at the time, my purchase depended on how much money I had left after paying my bills. When I saw the Visual Land ME-965-L, I was understandably hesitant. But considering the low price, built-in FM radio and external TF card capacity (actually, it can hold up to 32GB TF card). , not 8GB as advertised) *and* built-in 2MP camera, I knew I had found my MP3 player! I placed my order and after a short few days I was playing around with the device to get a feel for how it works. I also bought some screen protectors because I've seen that touchscreen devices have an awkward tendency to breakeven with relatively light use. Five months after purchase, my fears were justified when I tripped over a shelf and smashed the screen. It wasn't just a small crack. The entire screen self-destructed. I wasn't too excited. I only lost about $40. Well, if it was an overpriced iProduct. Yes, another story. Anyway, it turned out to be unusable so I had no choice but to throw it away. I went online to one of my newsgroups and told them my sad story. Luckily, I was only a few days without my beloved ME-965 when a good internet friend read about my plight on a forum and emailed me. identical replacement. He bought a replacement from Revain and shipped it to me. I was able to salvage a few things from the broken one: earphone, video connection cable, TF card and USB connection cable, so when the new one came, it was just a question to transfer my backup files from my compilation to the new device by inserting the TF -Card and application of a new protective film for the touch screen. Now I'm a little more careful with it as I really don't want to break it. I've had that for almost a year without so many hiccups with it. The radio works great, the video and picture quality is not bad. Granted, 2MP is a bit grainy and primitive compared to the 15-20MP photo quality of most modern cameras, but hey, for the initial spend of around $40, it far exceeded my expectations. The truth is. It was the built in camera that really won me over :D Most MP3 players other than the advertised iProduct don't even have one!
