A few years ago I bought a Sports Dog system and installed 14 gauge wire. We used a border trimming attachment for our herbivore. I didn't like big collars on my small dogs who are also older. So I did some research and found that they work with the sporting dog system. They have multiple levels of correction or just tone. On a collar lasted a couple of months. Another on my dog who was always walking along the border lines and squeaking. Therefore, it had to be recharged earlier. I think it was 3 or 4 weeks. I'm happy so far. They appear to be just as durable as more expensive collars. I had several brands. I also like the adjustable snap-on collar that can be changed as needed or desired. Best of all, they are small enough not to strain the small necks of my 13, 18, and 20 pound dogs.
