Review on FT1220 Internal Transmission Cartridge Filter by Frank Tyrance

The seal is unusable as it is not in one piece but in 4 separate parts glued together (the seal breaks by the heat and pressure of the transcase). I ordered two and unfortunately installed one on my car (need to remove and replace with a one piece gasket). The second had already broken off at the glue points when the box was opened. I had to return for a refund. I called Fram to see if this was a new design and was told Fram never makes these seals. I don't know where Revane could get it. There are patches on the boxes covering the "A" suffix on model #FT1220 ie FT1220A. Buy it at your local auto parts store so you can see it and make sure it's a one-piece gasket.
