Review on Fiskars 194900 Back to School Supplies: Preschool Training Scissors (Color May Vary) by Nicole Mcleod

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My 34 month old learned to clip and loves it!

This is my second order of preschool scissors. The reason for ordering was because the earlier ones, while super secure, witnessed the toddler's frustration for not cutting the side at all. (Two reviews in one? ;)) And now to that! The joy on my toddler's face when he can cut paper (that isn't even stretched) for 15 seconds immediately after learning is incredible. - Non-slip plastic, so the grip is quite firm. - Ability to cut less paper by adjusting the arrow. Bad and ugly... The blades are sharp. They are not as open as adult scissors, but enough, to harm a young person if left unattended. The cover will be a good addition to the product. - The scissors show a "zigzag" variation, which leads me to believe that even if you hold the scissors straight, a zigzag cut will be made (like pencils). But what this option actually does is that it only blocks half of the scissors, so only a small straight cut is made and you can then rotate the paper or scissors to make the cut you want. I don't really care, but if you hope this information will help you. I have pink purple. The product was red and blue at the time of ordering with no random color mentioned. Overall I plan to use these for my child to learn agility, Gaining confidence and practicing under supervision so others can use it more confidently without supervision. Hope this helped you make a decision. an option that led me to believe that even if you wield the scissors straight, a zigzag cut will be made (like Crayola). Okay for older kids. Too stiff for 3-year-olds.
