My little one loves big girl underwear! She particularly likes to choose which design she wears. Giving her choices also encourages her to use the potty. The nose of these sweatpants will not take ANYTHING, but I'm sure the padding still offers some absorbency. If your little one isn't fully potty trained and you're looking for something to prevent accidents, this isn't for you. But if you don't mind accidents hoping your little one will understand the difference between wearing disposable nappies and cotton underpants in the event of an accident, then these sweatpants are for you. And by accidents, I mean complete soaking. They can hold a small spoon in a pinch, but I would avoid leaving my child with dirty underwear if possible. And the ability to wear "regular" underwear prompted her to go to the bathroom more often.
