True to size. I bought 8.5 and my actual size is 8.5. Inside they are very comfortable. I LOVE the adjustable laces and laces! it makes the fit so snug and tight (not dangerously tight). I find they have to be a very tight fit to skate properly - my legs and wheels are ONE when properly adjusted. It's like a bicycle with clipless pedals! I love this brand K2 because my son has been a size 4-8 for 5 years and they are still whole, strong and many years old. They get up and off my feet easily. Purple and white are the only girly colors I could find, I would have preferred something with pink. The big wheels are also very smooth, nice, for a beginner I think I'm going too fast sometimes lol. I will be buying K2 again for my son this summer as he has outgrown the old one.
