Quality fabric and construction One side is smooth and flat the other side is short pile terry cloth + beautiful

Excellent quality kitchen towels. I have many towels and other table linens from DII and they are usually top notch but they are even better than I expected. The fabric is very high quality cotton. They're not as thick as terry towels, but they're a good weight and feel very firm - one side is flat and the other side is very low-pile French terry. I usually buy thin, flat-woven kitchen towels for drying dishes, cutlery, and hands, and thicker terry towels for dirty jobs. Many terry towels don't seem to be as durable as they were years ago and they seem to be getting thin, losing absorbency and/or falling apart too quickly, so I seem to go through them pretty quickly. These towels are beautifully soft and not only do they look beautiful, they far outperform most of the others in my stack of "work" towels. They wick moisture very well, wash well with minimal shrinkage, and don't pill. They are well stitched, with even, tightly sewn edges, with no protruding threads or frayed edges. At $19.99 for a set of three, they're a little more expensive than most of my terry toweling towels, but they're also very well made of quality fabric. They feel very classy and are almost too comfortable to use. Probably the best towels I've bought in years.
