I bought these after a short run with a pair of JBL BT500 headphones which I bought on sale for $30. You get what you pay for. These broke after careful normal use. Fortunately, Revain accepted the return. I've known these brands since I was a kid selling quality audio products and Audio-Technica is a name I trust. I can't afford real high end headphones and after reading the reviews about them I figured $89 is the best bet for the best quality. These headphones are suitable for that. The construction is MUCH stronger and more thoughtful. They are really comfortable for hours of use. Sound: Wow. I'm both phenomenally impressed and left a lot to be desired. Bass and treble are really very good (considering the price). I heard a little bit of everything last night, from Jean-Luc Ponty to Rush, from opera to the Allman Brothers. The separation and detail/clarity is very clean. only one Noticeable fuzziness in percussion, especially drum parts, such as B. the hardness of the snare drum. She's just stupid. So as lovers of that "pop” or "click” they are a bit disappointing. All in all and for the price these are fantastic headphones.
