Good but not worth the price

I really like these headphones but I don't think they are worth the $120 I paid for them. The sound quality is pretty good (nothing crazy just decent sound with no noticeable flaws), they have all the features I'm looking for and they have style. However, they have NO noise cancellation (not even passive), which is absurd for a $120 pair. Also, the microphone is terrible, so don't expect to use these headphones for phone calls.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Volume

Mobility friendly, wired mic, soft head vise

Pros Good sound quality. Definitely good for its price. Feels durable. Stays upside down during physical activity. Bluetooth is flawless. Long battery life DisadvantagesHeadphones put a lot of pressure on the ears, like a vise. Tolerable, given the benefit of not falling off. The flashing LED during normal Bluetooth operation (during audio playback) is annoying when used in a dark room. The product name misinterprets that the mic is what you expect - instead you get a wired mix that can't be…

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Amazing balanced sound. Impressive battery life. Elegant design.

These are my first Audio Technica headphones and I am very happy with them. I'm not a music lover but a regular user but I have to say these headphones sound fantastic. The sound is clear and balanced, the bass is not too strong, you can really enjoy the music. I love the sleek, low profile/minimal design of the earbuds, and the gold accent gives them a nice touch. The build quality is incredible and they are very durable, especially the hinges. What impresses me the most is the battery life…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Clean, detailed sound that could have been a little richer

I'm a Bluetooth headphone collector! I'm not an audiophile, but I'm a professional musician and I know what I like about sound. Fast and dirty at that: The sound is very clear, detailed sound. Medium is perfect. The highs are very clear, but not too annoying. The bass is pleasant and has a good warmth, but could have sounded fuller. The sound is generally exactly what I like, but it's a bit dry which means it could resonate and open up a bit more. They're not bass-heavy, but they don't…

Excellent and totally worth the money

As the owner of the ath-m50x, Audio-Technica's professional studio monitor headphones for streaming and gaming, I needed something to take with my iPhone 7 on the go (yes, I know I screwed up). They met all requirements and budget, and that's what AT wanted to achieve. These are really great headphones, they fit well and sound great. ok ok Treble and mids sound great, bass and bass sound crisp, just don't use heavy bass boosters when listening via bluetooth. Overall great headphones. I would…

I love these headphones

I love these headphones, they are my first bluetooth headphones. I read a lot of brand reviews and tried the Bose SoundLink on-ear model (same size and price) at Costco. Bose phones cost about $40 more and last half as long on a single charge (15 hours versus 30 hours on these Audio Technicas). The Bose headphones sounded good, but these sound better! I'm not sure why Audio Technica headphones don't get reviews as often as some other brands, or why they don't get as much "love" but to be honest

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Damaged

Bluetooth headphones with excellent activity

This is my first foray into Bluetooth headphones and they didn't disappoint at all. I wear them to the gym all the time to lift weights with no issues with falls or excessive heat and sweat (and I sweat a lot). I've worn them mowing lawns, working with power tools, and typical listening sessions. I prefer these for active listening rather than the headphones I wear at my desk (I have other headphones that I prefer for that). Sonically, they're fairly accurate, with a slight V-shaped sound that…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great BT headphones for the price. Nonetheless.

Notes to get you started. This item is listed as discontinued on the Audio-Technica website, which likely explains the price drop from $119 to $89. I bought these after a short run with a pair of JBL BT500 headphones which I bought on sale for $30. You get what you pay for. These broke after careful normal use. Fortunately, Revain accepted the return. I've known these brands since I was a kid selling quality audio products and Audio-Technica is a name I trust. I can't afford real high end…

Ideal for NYC subway rides

I live in New York City, I use the subway every day where people are constantly screaming for an hour twice a day, and I work in an open space. I work in digital communications and watch tons of social media videos every day. I have the Sony large wireless noise canceling headphones for the office, but I needed something lighter and more portable for my subway ride. They hurt after wearing them for a long time because they sit on the ears and can get a little bigger. The plastic part used to…

Very happy with the sound, technique and quality

I've been using headphones from different brands for 20 years and my favorite brands are Audio-Technica, AKG and Sennheiser. I prefer a balanced and clear sound that tends toward high frequencies rather than heavy bass, but with just enough bass to balance the sound well. The look and build quality of these headphones is very pleasing. They don't feel cheap or overly plasticky, and the overall size is good for on-ear headphones. I find them very comfortable with just enough padding on both ears

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Not bad
