It's fun and handy for preschool and school age kids. Sound quality is pretty clear, although we haven't tested it over long distances. I wish they had an auto shut off as my kids love to use the flashlight function so they stay on to drain the batteries. It is best to buy rechargeable batteries for these walkie talkies as they will run out quickly even if you remember to turn them off after use.
