Good buy for my 3 cats

My cats got used to this scratching post straight away! My little dog, who is in the bottom house in my photos, is only 6 pounds and this scratching post is perfect for her. My 2 boys are bigger, 10-12lbs but they still fit in at home and sleep comfortably on catwalks. I really like that the sides of the pedestals are made of wood and no cushions. The sides of the pillow are not so secure. You can rest on wooden sides without falling off. I wish the middle platform was wider to make it easier for them to climb, but they manage. All three cats enjoyed playing with the hanging toy and all three sharpened their claws on the sisal rope. I like that the boning is completely wrapped top to bottom but it will be interesting to see how long the sisal lasts because it is thin. The scratching post was very easy to set up. I used pliers when I screwed in the double ended screws holding the front 2 pedestals not to turn the screws but to hold them. I screwed in the bottom half of the screw and then held it with pliers while I threaded the shank onto the top half of the screw until I had to move the pliers to continue. Then I twisted the stem until it was completely tight. At first I had no feeling that he would drag, but in the end it happened. Make sure all the bars are really tight. I've learned that you should rotate the cat tree poles from time to time to ensure they stay strong. I'm thinking of buying a tether to attach the tree to the wall (not included) as all my 3 cats like to chase each other up and down and I want to make sure it stays upright if they get too loud will. . All in all I wanted a medium sized scratching post that would fit 3 adult cats and would do just fine!
