Our cats love it, it has large seating areas that our larger cats use. Some of the older cats have difficulty climbing to the upper levels. Overall I would recommend this product, cheaper than what you can buy from Petsmart or Petco and the same quality. Easy assembly, parts fit together well.

It was easy to assemble except the short tubes didn't line up with the screw holes on the top large square platform. However, it does not seem to have affected the stability. Of course, after a few minutes, the toy disappeared. I tie my shoelaces on each of the three smaller platforms. That alone keeps Trixie busy. I don't know why others are saying it took so long to install. It took me, a 24 year old female, about 20 minutes from the crate to playing with the cats. (Maybe I have a better guide?) The downsides are that the boxes aren't that big. My adult cats fit in, yes, but I was expecting them to be an inch or two taller. My older cat likes to sit on top and the platforms are big enough. My three cats also helped oversee the build right out of the box. Assembly is very easy but takes 45 minutes. The tree/apartment image is a bit misleading as it seems like cats have trouble transitioning to different levels, which they do NOT - they all get around it very easily and love it. This is a decent product but apparently I didn't read the information carefully enough when I bought it, thinking our two big cats would like it - and that's impossible. My cats got used to this scratching post straight away! My little dog, who is in the bottom house in my photos, is only 6 pounds and this scratching post is perfect for her. The first (bottom post/bar on the left) broke off last summer and the second (bottom post/bar on the right) broke off at the bottom of the post last week.
