Withstands boiling water and is very strong although it looks fragile.
I buy 2 because I believe in backup. Withstands a lot, hot and cold. I use it to drink tea. Looks fragile but holds up. I like that the cup itself is on top and sits nicely on the base. It matches my glass teapot and I really like it. What else can I say?
