Had to remove the stock shocks from my 2016 Street Glide Special as soon as I got them. With the new Legend shocks, the bike seems to soak up any bumps in the road, unlike the Harley shocks which made me feel like my lower back was riding on a block of wood. Installation was pretty easy, one screw didn't fit and I had to screw in the springs to align them. I'm 6'4", 290 pounds and have ridden with stock springs. No one has ridden two since I bought one a year ago, so I don't see that as a problem. I have a rebound damper set to 3, Center point.I'll play with this later when I have more time to sit.The price is the only thing I had trouble with as it was a lot of money for 2 shocks the bike should have had.Factory priced as a motorcycle , buy once, cry once, hopefully the problem is solved and my back will thank me after yesterday's short test drive.
