Polarity is wrong!

[9/2020 update] So did you notice that the polarity part intersects between this device and a device like the Battery Tender? things, but the adapter is cheap (and the seller even offered to ship one, so check with them). and they have to decide. but. I have to up my rating - because once you get past that, it seems to work pretty well. my motorcycle. Without this I would have plugged in the Battery Tender when it became difficult to start. and then I would forget. and then I would buy a new battery. I can't keep pulling the power cord to the shed. So it could have happened to me, uh. more than once? (There's a reason I was looking for this product, right?) It really helped solve this problem. The solar panel is next to the bike. and that's not quite true in direct sunlight. but despite all the crazy pandemic distractions (haven't ridden in months) now the bike starts happily every time! The battery isn't dead, is it?) So I'd still be happy if they eliminated the need for an adapter (if you have a "regular" battery tender), but it definitely worked fine in my situation. (Much better than the solar BT model I was trying to get to work - it's been redesigned. I wasted money). Best of all I gave up and ordered a second unit for another bike - I think it worked so well maybe I can stop buying new batteries for this bike too? So I'm obviously sold. and the supplier provided great support (although I didn't use it) and I'm very happy with the product! (Well, polarity aside, but now that I've been warned I can handle it.) Buy it, figure out the connectors and polarity, and if it works, it'll be great. --------- -- Looks like a great product. Put it in the sun and the button with LED will light up. But after reading their notes and then looking at the cable, I understand why they warn against connecting to existing cables! Having used the Battery Tender (and a few clones) I already have a pigtail attached to my battery, but the polarity of this "charger" is reversed! I only see the design argument. (Yes, well, the source is the battery. No, the charger is the source. No, <PTZZZ>...shit, we need a new charger and maybe a new battery!) I don't really care, but if I that attaches to an existing braid, I make a mess and it doesn't charge anything. So, cool product, but they wired it up like it was a source (battery), not like it's charging a battery. So if you're not going to use the included (almost useless) connectors, get your voltmeter out before plugging it anywhere.
