Review on AOC CQ27G3S Frameless 2560X1440 FreeSync 165Hz Gaming G3 Series Monitor with Adjustable Height and Adaptive Sync Technology by Abdullahi Kanakaraj

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable monitor for less than $300

Here's what I like about it: HDR color is bright and vibrant without being overly overwhelming, although you'll have to go into the display settings and tweak it to find the right setting for your setup. The curve is amazing. I had 24" for 1500R and going to 27" for 1000R is just great. All I had to do was move it about an inch away from my old monitor. I have excellent FOV/peripherals in FPS games. I'm using an RTX 3070TI and running everything at max 1440p and not getting any blurring/ghosting. Freesync is enabled and I have Gysnc compatibility enabled. With vsync disabled I get 0 tears that my eyes can discern. I'm playing most of Tarkov now, and while it's still in beta, there's a lot of shaky visual stuff, so it's not the best test. But I've played a bit of Doom Eternal and Borderlands 3 and they both look amazing and run smoothly at 100-120 fps, all maxing out at 1440p. it was real, or some kind of thug. but it's a real AOC G3 series monitor with a STRONK curve and a really good picture for under $300. The big complaint I've read about the g2 series, and my own complaint about the g1 series I've upgraded from, is that they aren't bright enough. 300 nits is an average but it seems a lot brighter, maybe it's HDR I'm not used to and increasing the windows brightness might make it seem brighter? But my last 2 monitors were 300 cd/m2 and this one is definitely brighter and more vibrant. It's only been a week and we'll see where we are in a few months.
