The sizes are given for a baby. I ordered a large child size 4W for my 1 year old who has very big feet (most shoes don't fit him) and they fit great! According to the size chart in the photos, it is perfect for small children 4XW. It was half the price of the 4W so I took a chance and they fit perfectly. They are also lightweight and flexible, making them ideal for beginners. The only complaint is the price, I find it difficult to pay that much for children's shoes, but what can you do when nothing else suits your fat feet!
