This is a great update - not for the faint of heart!

I bought this after doing a lot of research, reading reviews and checking other Tesla style alternatives. I chose this device for the factory look and ease of interaction with my 2019 F-150. I also knew I had to pay for these features, and now that it's up and running I'm glad I did. Here are my opinions for and against. Cons: The device doesn't come with an installation guide (which I was aware of) but it should come with comprehensive instructions. It's not cheap. the retailers you bought it from. It takes time to break habit when you want to turn the volume down quickly, and I always reach for the volume wheel. Now I use the touchscreen or steering wheel controls. Pros: Fits like a glove and looks OEM. It's not that difficult to install, but there are some crazy differences between some trucks. This means that some harnesses have a single function...while other harnesses have multiple elements connected to them. You can download Linkswell's user manual...but the installation pictures aren't very helpful. supplier directly. I got an incredible amount of help. I've received help via email, we've shared photos, etc., and I've received help resolving issues over FaceTime. This kind of help is outrageous and solved all my problems. YouTube has helpful videos that people have posted. The touchscreen is nice and works great. It's professionally installed if you can. Let someone else handle the traffic. Tape off the dashboard, center console, gear selector, etc. Without taking steps to hide these things, you could potentially scratch your dashboard. Purchase electrical tape and zip ties. Keep things clean behind the line. And prevent items such as RCA connectors from being disconnected. You will use a new GPS antenna. Make sure you list it on your dashboard (e.g. OEM). I ran mine to the far left edge of the dash, under the grab bar, under the dash and to the stereo. You won't be using your USBs like you used to. In fact, they give more. I put mine in the glove compartment. The factory code for customization is 1660.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Little maintainability
