The concept is pretty amazing, and while its implementation has respectable flaws, I still think it's a great solution to improve performance on a laptop. First, you can power both screens directly from the laptop with the included USB-C 90 to regular USB-C cable. You need to make sure your ports support Thunderbolt or Display output. Otherwise, you can use the included micro HDMI to HDMI cable. Screen quality is decent but could be great, especially at full price. The clip that wraps around the laptop's screen is fine, the screen support and hinge are fine, and the rear stand for the whole setup...well, it does the job. Most parts of this dual display setup work well but could be better. At the same time, the quality and end product of this assembly deserve respect. I had no trouble setting it up on Mac, Windows, and Linux, so I'm happy all round. Let's hope the Gen 2 has a better setup (maybe 1 cable to power both screens!) and a better stand, but as it stands it's a great dual screen solution.
