Poor quality control

Had some major fitment issues and questionable quality. This kit is for my 2008 Civic EX 2 door coupe with premium sound. Installs a two DIN Sony. Here are the BIGGEST problems with this kit: 1. (Photo #1) The temperature control box cutout was poorly formed. look at my picture Indicates the bottom 4 buttons are tucked into the neckline of the set. I left the "MAX AC" button pressed to indicate that the other buttons are pressed and stuck. I had to carefully cut off some of the plastic, working a little until the buttons pressed and released freely like they did at the factory. I had to be very careful not to scratch or crack the dashboard.2. (Rice. 2) Mounting bolt holes/stand does not match the original Honda size. Honda Original Equipment propellers share almost all of the brackets in this kit. Apparently the thread pitch is wrong. But I was slow to screw in each screw and was able to secure everything. I just don't like it when plastic parts crack or splinter.3. The 2 bolts (M8) holding the entire dash to the car's steel mounts did not match and it was almost impossible to align the M8 bolt holes. on plastic clips for security. Hopefully there won't be any rattling noises over time. Couldn't take a picture to illustrate this under the dash inside the miscellaneous. Good: Color = Had to update my color note after a few days. At first they said that the color fits, but it does NOT match Honda's factory gray. OEM has a slight warm tone. This kit is pretty flat grey. I ran my fingers over the two surfaces to compare the texture and couldn't tell any difference in that regard. In general. Very disappointed with this set. But as most of you DIYers know, it would be frustrating to have to cancel all the work, return the stereo and issue a refund! Wait for the replacement and start the installation again after a few days. So I figured my time was worth more than returning this and ordering a Metra brand kit. I did this to complete the installation. I probably wouldn't recommend this for less experienced installers. Be careful with the mounting screws. You do NOT want to break the mounting posts and be prepared to cut/shave off some plastic!
