Bought a new Porter-Cable 380 Sander to replace a 16 year old one. an old Porter-Cable 340 grinder that died after a long productive life. The new 380 is a great grinder - powerful, easy to use, lightweight and productive. I put 3 because of the dust collector in the shape of Mickey Mouse. The bag has a plastic clip that slides down the corresponding rib on the sander and (barely) snaps into place. With normal use, not abuse, the outer edge of the collector bag retainer broke off. If you barely touch it, it will fall. Until I decide whether to keep the grinder, the anther of my 3 week old grinder is taped in place. My old 340 grinder had a dust outlet that was part of the grinder's molded body with a dust bag/filter that fitted over the outlet and held it in place. Since my vacuum's hose was round, it also slipped off and allowed dust to be picked up by the vacuum, leaving a clean workspace. Because dust bag mounts are a proprietary design, nobody, not even Porter-Cable, has a vacuum hose adapter. Porter-Cable took a big step backwards with the design of the 380 grinder. Until Porter-Cable redesigns the dust box, this grinder is not recommended.
