Works so far and is good value. That's the good part. Configuration was a typical nightmare. If, like me, you already have a Broadlink WiFi device, rest assured that the Broadlink app will install that device as well. Don't make that mistake - this app will only lead you down the rabbit hole and end in failure. It seems to recognize the device but never exits and doesn't give you any info on what's wrong. You need ANOTHER Broadlink app called "IHC". It detects the device without having to connect to a hotspot and allows you to add it to your Wi-Fi network. The relationship between these two apps remains a mystery - is one older than the other? Who knows. Once set up, I wanted to use it to turn the bedroom fan on and off. So I tried setting up a simple timer using IHC. And after 15 minutes of torture with a broken Chinglish and an incomprehensible interface, I gave up. Luckily, another Revain customer responded to my request for help. The answer is go back to the FIRST app - the app called "Broadlink". It now recognizes the device and has a clean, simple interface for using the timer. If there's a way Broadlink can make this more confusing, I'm sure they're working on it. Broadlink believes that every tech device needs a blue LED, so they added a big one to this connector. It lights up senselessly when the outlet is turned on, and it doesn't have to. I didn't want it to light up my bedroom so I had to tape it off which meant I couldn't use the night light; I was hoping to power it up with a home automation system and a motion sensor. UPDATE: I am reducing my rating to 1 star. Because there are no ZERO stars. I still had one of these modules that I haven't used before, so I'm trying to set it up, but to no avail. The word "nightmare" is not enough to describe this completely insane mess. I will never buy a Broadlink product again.
