You cannot remove the mount from the packaging.
As the title suggests, there is a round connector inside the mount, so you cannot remove the mount and last but not least, you cannot tighten it. If the manufacturer just used a hex head on the internal connector, or a simple slot that could be used with a short screwdriver, that would be much better. Instead, I had to mangle the case to remove the clamp.
